Monarda fistulosa
Wild Bergamot (Beebalm, Monarda, Wild Beebalm)
Mint family – Lamiaceae/Labiatae

Also known as Bee Balm and Monarda. Multi-use medicinal herb with a fragrance similar to that used for flavouring Earl Grey tea. Attractive to bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. May be susceptible to powdery mildew in late summer. Requires good air circulation around plant.


Bloom time: July, August
Hight: 30 - 60cm (12 - 24”)
Sun; average soil. Does better with an adequate amount of moisture.

Direct seed in spring or fall. Cover lightly. Easy to grow.
